Well, first time he came back, AFAIK he left under pleasant circumcisions. This time, not so. Some people will not come back after being forced out and others will as my post above states. Since I have no personal stake in the matter, I am not particularly distressed one way or the other.

What I *really* disliked about the guy was that on this forum, even if you have public difference with a member, you can PM him/her and ask his or her advice on a matter that you feel they can be helpful in, and be welcomed to do so. I know there are a few folks here that don't have any love for me publicly, but yet have responded in this way. I had a question for Mr. Doe and PM'ed him, respectfully, and was instead publicly made fun off.

That speaks volumes about the kind of person he was in my mind, and although I don't like the whole "ban" thing, in his case he really offered NOTHING to the community. At least from my perspective.

By the way, if I was King of ShopForum, I would err on the side of allowing people to be offensive. Better that than to lose people who add substance to the conversation, which JD did, IMHO. A thick skin is a good thing to have. I don't say that as a criticism, just my 2 cents.
