Nice.

Do you know where Bird's Nest (6R4) is? I have fond memories from many moons ago of being directly over Bird's Nest with a friend in his Cub and trying to initiate a spin. Gave up on the third try.

Remember to take pics of the Bravo flight this weekend.
Nice I wish I could get some of that therapy; getting my pilots license has been high on my to do list but one thing or another has made it less of a priority.

Bravo is canceled for the weekend our destination is expecting a big ice storm so we are trying it again on Presidents Day weekend. I am not being picky.......its free.

Thanks. It’s our #1 choice for burning off just about any bad emotion(s). Second is the PT-17, but that one takes more work and brain power. A Cub is an “...in your sleep...” kind of aircraft. D has a Cessna 150 Aerobat (I don’t claim it, and she brought it with her into the nuptials. So...) that can be rather fun and relaxing as well. More fun with two in it though. We play “Aero Challenge” in it. We see who can glide the farthest inverted after the engine floods and quits. Also - What we call the “Doors open Dive Bomber!!” . If it didn’t have the Simplicity and Fun Factor, it would be worthless.

Don’t wait ’till you’re too old to start flying and kick yourself for not doing it. I fly lots of folks around, letting them take control, just because they said it was something they wanted to do before they died. Most of those claim they wanted to learn how for years (some, decades). Most of the helicopter “one-time riders” just want to see what it’s like. Or “...if it’s as hard as people claim it is.” (yep it is, btw) Those folks I understand. The fixed wingers, I feel sorry for. Just do it.

Glad to hear what canceled your ride this weekend. We’ll call it “Smart Pilot Syndrome”. Free or not. Don’t take risks (when you don’t have to). I still want some pics posted.

I think so - Just south of the Round Rock, Pflugerville area, right? I’ll check the SA sectional for it.

3 TRIES ?!?! Power off. Stick back. Full rudder. And hold that. You’ll be spinning in no time !! Solo? Or did you have a big overweight guy in the back seat?

Wow - It could be Cub CC to BHF time. Finish the roads first.

That's it. We used to go out there and hang out all the time. The crop dusters took off going downhill, regardless of wind direction.

You could land but, I don't think you could take off again. Bring the 407 instead.

The rib offer still holds.

That was the deciding factor but not the biggest concern..............we were going fishing and it would have been nasty as hell.

Well - We can’t teach you to spin a 407.

We have an O-1 that might make it back out. How long is the road? I’ll need maybe 10’ wide for the gear. ~45’ between any trees over 5’ tall.

If that wont make it - There’s always Shelby’s A-1 Husky. 360’ in. 200’ out.
