Wow! There are just some many. It's hard to choose just ONE. Most domestic, mass-produced beers would fit nicely into this category IMHO.

Funny thing about reading these...

It makes me, in a twisted sort of way, want to go out and buy some of them (that I haven't already tried and are available) just to see what the fuss is about. Maybe it's a way to quantify my worst beer experience by way of comparison with others. Then again, maybe it's the "Don't touch that boy, it's hot!!" syndrome.

Any, stored the longest and the hotest, will qualify eventually.
Even the worst are great when fresh and cold and poured into a parched throat.

Are not most beers on tap in the US "the worst beer you ever had", it's almost impossible to get a decent beer here; flat, no foam, warm glasses, dirty pipes you name it; DOA!

Naturally there is the exception of the specialty beers at the breweries, still they serve it flat in most cases.

Coors Light - the geniuses at Coors didn't figure out that regular Coors is a light beer.
Budweiser - I can taste the formaldehyde

Amen to that. I just found some bottles of Michelob low carb from 2 1/2 years ago. I drank it because wasting food is a sin. Is beer food?

Yes, when I first heard of Coors Light, I remember thinking, "You mean it's possible to make Coors beer even MORE watery and disgusting?!?!"....

Hahaha....

Nonsense, what kind if dives do you hang out at? I would venture to say we in the US enjoy the greatest selection of beers the world has to offer, both Domestic and Imported.

Well, even the GOOD imports that we're all singing the praises of tend to suffer in flavor because of the lower alcohol content requirements in the US.

If you have a Guinness in Ireland, a Guinness here will never be quite as satisfying as it used to be...

Same goes for having a Samuel Smith in England....

Or a Hoegaarden in Belgium....

Or ANY beer in Germany....

It's just not the same flavor here, with the lowered alcohol percentage.

That's simply not true. There are a number of beers made here in the states that will knock your socks off. Weyerbacher is a local brewery (to me) and if you have a decent beer monger nearby you should try some of their product.

Budweiser
Bush
Miller
Coors
Colt 45

I once took a drink mistakenly from a old bottle of Micky's Big Mouth, full of mold.

That's what the beers above taste like.

I did mention the US specialty beers and breweries (there are some really good ones) but go to Belgium or Germany or even Holland and you know what I'm talking about and how a good beer from the tap can taste.

I'm not talking about bottled beer. When I was a bartender in Amsterdam, we would run water through the lines every single night. Once a week they would come in from the brewery (Heineken, Grolsch, etc.) to clean the lines, shooting little balls under high pressure though the lines. They would check the temperature of the beer, pressure etc.

And it's not about the selection of beers, it's how it's prepared by the bartender, I haven't seen a single bartender here in the states that can tap a decent beer.

I used to be a bartender in Amsterdam and was able to tap 20 or more beers in one single run (with out opening or closing the tap) and they all would look alike with the right amount of foam. If I would not be able to do this I would be the laughing stock of the bar, European beer drinkers take the preparation of there pilsners very seriously!
