Hasn't Driven since '99
My uncle is 45, hasn't driven since 1999 because he moved to NYC. Now he's moving back to the midwest, how long is it going to take him to get back into driving? Everyone seems to be saying it'll be like starting from scratch.

naaaaah.
it wont be that bad. much of it is subconscious. i played horn in high school. about ten years ago i went to a christmas party where they were playing music. there was a horn lying there so i picked it up. i remembered all the fingerings of the notes with absoulutely no problem. i just started playing like i laid it down yesterday. much of driving will be the same. what will take some time is developing the concentration necessary to be safe in heavy traffic. much heavier than it was in 99. imho tom w
