Ear bobs

My question about opinions on the Razr (excuuuuze meeeee! for spelling in correctly in my other thread) was related to the fact that I have an ear bob (wireless ear piece) I wanted to give someone who will need the appropriate phone for it to work.

I'm wondering how many of you use wireless ear pieces with your cell phones? I've been using one with my Treo for a couple of years and wouldn't think of NOT having one. Plus, if I drive into the District of Columbia holding a cell phone up to my head, I WILL get a ticket.

Who else here uses ear pieces for their cell phones?

I bought a BlueTooth-enabled radio for my car. I make and receive calls through the radio - sounds comes through the speakers and the there's a microphone next to the steering wheel. I find the ear roaches distracting.

That's funny, Ted. I read somewhere that people walking around (outside of psyche wards) talk on their cell phones when there's no one on the other end. I can't fathom why they would do this.

I worked in a big, federal govt. psychiatric hospital here in Washington when I first moved here. Someone there once said "The mentally ill are just like us, only more so." After a few months of working there, I understood exactly what that guy meant.

Oh well, it's lunchtime. Let me put on my aluminum foil hat and go get something to eat. . .

what i am trying to figure out is what is the difference between talking to someone on the phone vs. talking to someone sitting next to you? Is it the fooling around with the phone that is causing the accidents or the fact that you have to mentally put yourself in the same place as the person your talking to?
