They don't have too many friends elsewhere. It's all interwoven due to the fact that people of Jewish ethnicity live mostly anywhere, but have been particularly successful in the US. Normally, there wouldn't be anything wrong with it, yet the puppeteers behind the scenes have different interests and they have the power to pull the strings the way they want.
For the moment. Things can take turns at any given time. I wouldn't necessarily depend on their friendliness; it's more like a dependency, an installment that works both ways for US and Israel. Once again, for the moment. It's human to see and recognize the fraction of the universe unfolding during our mortal period on this planet as ultimate, while in reality it's less than a glimpse of sorts. Same way with this war. The dispute over the activities is going on since at least 100 years, as far as the most recent modern history goes. Apparently to some it's even thousands of years being thrown into the picture and so it is...looking at it long term, 10, 50, 200, or even a 1000 years are nothing. It's ongoing. Now, some make big bucks on that oil, maybe very soon there won't be anymore oil and much less, the big bucks may not even be worth anything. In the end, it's about dominance. Luckily, at the moment US has military superiority, sharing it with Israel (reasons for that would require another thread) and that's the card being played. When things change, things will look different and change is inevitable. What the things will look like once they change, we probably won't see it, yet a few careful observers will always be privileged to see.
