Location guide for Burger King...

I wish they had a location guide for Burger King. It and Wendy's are the only two I ever eat. The problem is I travel 48 states, Canada, and Mexico. I get the crave so seriously sometimes, that I'll go to wreckless lengths to get B.K. I can always stand passing up Wendy's but not B.K.
I can never seem to find a B.K. when I need one. I wish they'd make a B.K. location guide complete with parking capacity, seating capacity, and hours open. directions from exit ramps would be nice, too. Also, they should have atleast some 24hr locations like McDonalds(yuck) does. I'm in a 77 foot tractor trailer, and sometimes have a little trouble getting an accessable location. I've blocked lanes, and driveways for it in the past though. They say "Have it your way"
I say it should be 24 hrs and on every corner w/a location guide the size of a phone book, or larger. This is ridiculous tonight. I'm near Mobile, Alabama, and all I can find is a damn subway tonight....GRRRR!! :fork_off:

If you're ever in Mattoon, IL, be sure to stop at The Burger King. Much better than the chain.

There's this one truck stop down near Matoon that used to have really good frog legs.

Hey man, I basically don't have a choice a lot of time. I'm not home for dinner every night, and don't always have a lot of time to find, and sit down in a restaurant either. Some days I'm lucky to get time to stop, and grab anything at all to eat. I go many full 24 and even 36 hr periods of time without even a bite to eat. That's the life, in my profession, but I a $#!7 load of money doing it as well as the rest of my fleet. So sometimes I just have to do the fast food thing. Of all of them, B.K. is probably my most fav. for taste and better over McDonalds (yuck) all around. There are tons more fast food places, but I like what I like. When I go home which is actually not really often, and not for very long periods of time I never go near fast food of any kind. I do what I must, to live on the road, essentially, in my truck. I drive anywhere from 3500, to as high as 6500 miles a week, all over the place. Understand now?

Thanks, that's generally all I need anyways, 40 miles, I can always find one if I just do that. If they had like a big book or quick ref. book though it would be nicer, but that's a great start....
I didn't know they did that on the web site. I'll have to check it out.:book:

Get a program like Blackberry 411 for your cell phone. If you punch BK it will show you the closest BK using the GPS on your cell phone.

I'm not a fan of fast food but I do like BK, but nothing is a substitute for Colonel Sanders.

thats MOHO.

i too find when fast food is the only option that i often seek out bk.

the burgers are grilled and the fixin's are like a big salad. i order them with mustard instead of mayo and they are super fresh and low fat. when a small snack is in order i order a whopper junior.

and occasionally i will order a kids meal.

i am more or less continually on a diet and i get very, very sick of salads.

Wow Nick, I bet you could tell some interesting stories about life on the road!
Law enforcement encounters, wrecks, sights, people met, funny stories, weather, it must be like being the last American cowboy.

What was that saying? "If you got it, a truck brought it"

Oh yes, I've seen a lot of interesting things out here. I've been driving for almost 12 years, and owned my own trucks for about half of that. I stay out generally about six to eight weeks at a time, and go home for a few days, or a week. I've got my little miniature Dacshund in the truck with me to navigate.
I've seen the worst accidents, met the strangest people, and been to some really weird places. Living on the road is not always fun though. Lotta vagrants, scheisters, and con-artists out here. Everything from truck stop hookers, to truck stop mechanics. There's a lot of bad element.
I run 48 states, Canada, as well as Mexico. If I'm not hauling a load, I'm either going to, or coming from a meeting with a new, or current client. I just scored a really huge account, out of El-Paso, Texas last week, for weekly runs of auto parts from there to Detroit. My trucks, do well, and are all over the country right now. I'm in the vicinity of Mobile, Alabama right now. i've got a load to deliver in the morning which I picked up the morning before yesterday, in Salt Lake City, Utah. 2050 miles away.
This will be a light week however. By the time saturday night comes. I'll only have run 4000 miles. I'm not sure exactly where to yet, but most likely, back the way I came, or even further. Looking at a load now w/two stops on it. If I get it I'm running from here, to Spokane,Wa. and from there to Seattle,Wa. Anyways This is why I want my guide book for B.K.
I have dozens of others, for truck washes, fuel stops, hotels, truck stops. Only thing missing is fast food stops, Particularly B.K. I don't care much about the rest of them. Will do the blackberry thing and try that. I'm tired of this happening. I haven't eaten a thing since last night in Denver,Colorado at a truck stop. Guess I'll have to have some nasty Domino's delivered to the truck, or something.

Just type in "Burger King" or whatever on the touchscreen and bang! Locations listed from closest to farthest anywhere in the US. It will even tell you how to get there.

Thanks

Hey thanks, I see those for sale in every trick stop. I never paid any attention to what they are before though. Guess you could say I've always been kinda, low tech. I have mapquest, but still use paper map books. I just got into computers in the past few months. Anyways, I'm going to get one of those, and also the blackberry411 program I was told about. Between all of these methods, I'll do ok , I'm sure. I know the food is poison, but it sure tastes good, and is quick when I'm on the go.:scholar: :D
