Pizza is probably not Italian. Flat round bread came from Greece. Tomatoes came from the New World and Mozzarella came from India.

My parents told me that in 1955 there was only one Pizza joint in Washington, DC.

In Maine, most of the country stores sell pizza. They sell it by the slice for breakfast, lunch and supper. 6AM pizza slice, yum.

If you buy "frozen pizza" to cook at home, flip it over, oil (extra virgin olive oil) and salt the bottom of the crust before cooking, add more mozzarella, lots more.

If you order Pizza, order Feta Cheese as a topping, extra Mozzarella.

Domino's, Pizza Hut? Man I feel sorry for you folks who have to eat that phony corporate stuff. It might be good, but certainly not comparable to a real NY Italian pizza.

Yes feel sorry for those who consider fast food pizza to be good, or even to be pizza. No. It is not good.
It is like all these newer bagel restaurants that make hamburger buns with holes in the middle & tell you it's a bagel....
