i would like a g wagen maybe if i could find one with a good diesel and stick tranny.

those with big v8 and mega leather and gadgets don't appeal to this ol' farm boy at heart.

rumbly diesels and stick trannys are for work. work is good.

Man I'd like one, a G-wagen, but any car that requires me to stand on a stepstool to secure my boat is out of the question.

Hehehe....

My dad wanted a G wagon since he saw one wayyyy back in the day. (My dads in his late 50s.) Anyways, he loved the ML, and it was a great runner!

My mom was cool with th idea of my dad adding another car to the fleet, as long as one disappeared. Well, he was about to trade in his 600, but my mom said no to that, as it his baby! So, my mom made the deal that he could get a G as long as it was to be her car. Well, my dad bought it for my mom, but he drives it more than she does.... But its cool. My mom likes driving it, as shes up off the ground, and it feels like a REALLY safe vehicle. She doesnt care that its not the fastest brick on the road, but she is really happy with it. She loves how it rides, and how it handles. She also like the layout of it, so shes cool with it! Oh, and my dad says that my mom looks cute when she drives it.... Maybe you can pull that one on your wife Mr. Doe...

The problem is that my dad is my dad likes to steal it when its not in use... Oh well. Just means that my mom can drop the top on the SL, and cruise all day long. She likes driving that car too. She thinks its got too much power though. She doesnt mind it though, she loves how the car looks.

Nah dude, you open the doors and stand on the floor. That is what I have to do to tie down my sailboards and canoe to my Jeep.

Your parents sound very cool, Justin. I could get the thing if I wanted it, but was actually kind of excited that my wife was the one that really wanted to get it and now she has lost interest.

The point of a Gwagon for me would be that I use 4 wheel drive a lot during the winter. That AMG Egg mobile would be fairly useless where I would need it.

My brother-in-law has the ML55 - pointless as heck, but unbelievably fun to drive. A car that large shouldn't be able to do the things that the ML can do.
