IN Brooklyn we didn't have proms.

Senior class would go to the beach; lite bonfires - and party !

No one cared about who drove what.

Look, from my perspective what you're doing is cool.

You make it plain to the chick, you like old diesels for their durability, economy and environmental benefits...You'll soon find out if she's an airhead or has the ability to think and appreciate what you're doing.

I mean, you ain't gonna marry the chick, you might as well stand your ground and see what the reaction is and not fall for the glitz and glamour you imagine broads want, date goes bad?advertise on Craigslist and have some married gal bust yer nut........

Well said Carleton, and 100% true.

Just be a gentleman, and yourself. Chicks dig that... alot.

When I met my wife for the first time, I was driving a ragged out puke green mid '70s Datsun 510 station wagon. It was the "company car" I got to take home once in a while when I managed a parts store, but she didn't know that at the time. She liked that fact that I listened to her, and looked her in the eye.

We went to Prom in a Party Bus , that our parents loaded with booze for our "after prom" weekend at the beach". Those were good times. I still have my 98 M3/4 that I got when I was in high school. My junior year I also took my dads 00 SL600. I remember to this day asking him for it , he looked at me and paused and said "I don't care if you take it but the grill fell off last week at the car wash" . Mercedes quality at its best.

Maybe you can borrow Hat's new jet.

O.K. then, question answered.nothing,NOTHING impresses a gal more than self-confidence so be yourself, let things flow and above all LISTEN,very important to a gal, just make her talk, interject a few well placed compliments and let things flow.

Don, ur allready prepairing for prom???

I'm taking the F150. Bench seat, 8' bed, how could I screw that up???

Might fill the back with water, and put a heater in there, HOT-TUBBING!!! boyah

I DID fix the brakes, so dammit, it will stop

Dont worry about the car. as long as it starts, and, the seats arent poking u with springs, it should be fine. Take the benz, just make damn sure it will start...

How is the interior in it?

You would not believe the calls we get for prom flights.
I’ll admit, we have done a few over the years. I can assure you that it’s rare the kids pay for it. Definitely a mom and dad gift.

A bit costly. It will turn some heads though.

I say - Stick with the detailed 300D. Put the money into the “after prom” events. After all, if your date really likes YOU, she shouldn’t care too much about how she shows up. Even a run out old 300D has class. And, it’s not like you’ll be spending the evening in the car.

I was going to the prom on the back of a motorcyle until my step mother stopped us and gave my prom date the keys to her car- a Toyota. i was a bit saddened i thought the motorcycle was cool.

I don't have a helicopter what do you think college kids these days are made out of money!? Later, off to look at a Lear...

Just detail the 300D, and spend your money on booz. Get the girl really drunk and give the back seat a good work out!
