"Sarcasm is the language of the devil, for which reason I have long since as good as renounced it”

Thomas Carlyle

“A sarcastic person has a superiority complex that can be cured only by the honesty of humility.”

Lawrence Lovasik

“Neither irony or sarcasm is argument.”

Samuel Butler

This spelling change contrasts with other similar spelling changes made in American English, which were rejected in the UK. In the US at least, judgment is still preferred and judgement is considered incorrect by many American style guides.

As with many such spelling differences, both forms are equally acceptable in Canadian English and Australian English. In New Zealand English the form judgment is the preferred spelling in dictionaries, newspapers and legislation, although the variant judgement can also be found in all three categories.

If you wish to affect a British style of writing, then that is fine. It is like the people who write "favour" or "colour." It is an affection (like Madonna speaking with a pseudo British accent because she thinks that it makes her sound smarter).

Standard American English use, however, still calls for judgment, sans the "e" after the "g."
Are you unloading your legalese ?

That's paramount. The question remains though, which direction you're going when you take your first step.

That's a bunch of quotes. Are you saying sarcasm is invalid?

It's a personal attitude, or better even a personal note on the matter of expression. Within this dimension it is very well presentable.

Sarcasm has no more, no less validity then any other personal attitude, which cannot be defined as directly violent.

Just offering perspective and context.

Sarcasm, in my opinion, is best when it is subtle to the point that it almost becomes a delicious inside joke.

Sarcasm that is plain and obvious is just clumsy.

It is a question of finesse versus obtuness.

A mosquito bite versus a hammer blow.

Intelligence versus a dull mind.

Not unless I get well paid for it.

I have a garage full of cars that require regular maintainance.

Nice to see someone giving credit where it's due. Hooked on Phonics might be a good choice.
