Just where did 3K come from? I have heard that it's 100 hours at 30 MPH average speed.

I do 6k oil change intervals.. and have yet to get an analysis. I really need to just to see whats going on in the inside. Plus I will be pulling my oil pan to replace it.

The records show the orginal owner did 10k intervals up til 175k which is when it changed hands... so I know it has had 10k intervals before and the oil pan is OG.. lets see how much crap their is in it

What if you don't have kids, and already reserved real estate on Mars?

Ok, then you should change your oil 24/7/365.25, but watch over your shoulder for the rest of us....

Never change your oil, and save the EARTH and possibly your children's limbs or life!

Thanks

You need to run it long enough to drive the water out of the oil...ie get the oil over 212 degrees F. Usually that takes some highway running.

Yes, diesels get water in the oil from condensation but it is a much smaller amount of water.

Never change your oil, and save the EARTH and possibly your children's limbs or life!

Thanks Joe,

the water in gassers gets into the oil caused it's forced past the rings and valve springs, so surf was right about that.
