The main competing U.S. Mercedes forum is Benzworld. People are pretty nice here on MS. Mostly *******s on Benzworld. Some here are dual members there too. Huh guys?

If you are into modifying your car and getting performance out of it, there are better message boards out there. Most folk here like their cars stock and are a little fanatical about the MB engineer's designs

Yeah, Performance Paddock is pretty boring with all this turbocharging, engine swaps, blueprinting and engine managment nonsense. Those other guys must have rocket engines and warp drive by now.

While cruising out there, I've seen some of our regulars posting on BW.

Mostly ill-mannered, obnoxious braggarts out there. Even a proponent of a free-wheeling OD, like myself, find their version of OD to be mostly a waste of time.

Well he is kinda right. there is not much info on here like that. Though, I do have a flux capacitor

While I only visit two regularly, I am a bit whorish in that I've "joined" about any one I've come across. As a newbie I figure the more access to info. the better. Then it's only a matter of figuring which is b.s.

Lately, i've been bitten by the Porsche bug. Can't make up my mind between a used 911 turbo or brand new Cayman. What would you choose?

I miss the MBCanada open forum. It was the most effective insomnia cure that I have ever discovered. Imagine a 24/7 visit to dear-old Aunt Mabel's house for High Tea, replete with tabletop doilies, musty stuffed chairs and a musty-smelling Aunt Mabel. Benzworld? Not too bad, but their version of open forum sometimes suffers from Tourette's Syndrome. I hate naughty language.

I don't know much about Porsches.

I wouldn't mind a Cayenne Turbo.

0-60 in about 5.5 seconds.

Lately I've been thinking about a E55 that I see around town. it is a 124 with attitude. How are they for upkeep? Fancy doo-dads need a lot of tinkering? I'm getting oldfartitis. A decade ago I'd be in the garage rounding-off bolts and scratching the paint. Now I pay a pretty penny to get expert work done by a trustworthy indie.
