Ok - I don’t get to do what I want, when I want. And I think what’s left of the Barbie’s around here, are in a box I saw right next to the King tapes I sent Mistress from the attic. I do recall one being shot out of a potato canon into a wall at close range, too. Sorry Dee8go - you’ll have to play Barbies on your own. But if you ever want to drop one from 10K feet, let me know.

Oh - Can’t say I ever really wanted to be gay. Nor in fashion or interior design either. But the ones who just re-did our living room were awesome.

WVO, ever do a 'pumpkin drop?'

Out at Fault Line Flyers the first Saturday after Halloween is Pumpkin Drop Day. On the way out to the patch, you buy up all the pumpkins you can find. Out at the field, they chalk out a 50' circle and then take turns going up in the Schweitzer 2-33 and pitching 'punkins' out the door in back.

The safest place out there is probably at official 'Ground Zero.'

I’ve dropped many things. (Something I really shouldn’t admit to doing.)
Can’t say that I’ve participated in an organized pumpkin drop though.

I’ve “Drop Checked” quite a bit of fruit though. Watermelons of course, are pretty cool. That, or most any other melon.

The cool thing with watermelons we do now is the “Skip Check” on Lake Texoma. Slide one out the PA-31 (door removed) at 10’ and 170 kts and have the dropper count the skips before it comes apart (explodes).

I still get a kick out of the ballast water drops from the glider. That one surprises a lot of folks.

The awesome drop record is still the sling load of golf balls into a pool. That one will be hard to beat.

I don't know about anybody else, but I find it fascinating and refreshing to realize that we never REALLY completely grow up. In everyman's (okay, maybe women, too) heart, there still lurks the desire to shoot potatos out of guns, drop stuff from airplanes, and construct catapults to fling heavy stuff as far as humanly possible.

Oh yeah, we still like to look at dirty pictures and spit, too.

I was shocked, and delighted to hear at a cocktail party in my neighborhood that my next door neighbor sometimes pees in his backyard (He didn't mention anything about the shower.). I don't remember how the subject came up, but I saw several heads nodding.

He was the CEO of a rather large and prestigious trade association in Washington. I thought to myself, "For a bunch of old farts we're still pretty wild and crazy!" This guy also goes white water kayaking, mountain-climbing, and sky-diving. Plau, he can tell some gut-bustingly funny stories once the drinking gets under way.

Hey, sorry it took so long to post.
I am a financial planner/investment adviser that works at an accounting and tax firm. We are smack in the middle of tax season so the days are long and the time online is limited. We currently have two offices about 40 miles apart and clients scattered all over Oklahoma. We are a young bunch and set for more growth in the near future so the ability to travel medium distances relatively quickly is becoming necessary. Hopefully I can talk the Skipper into buying a plane in the next year or so. We certainly have the wherewithal to make it a tax efficient endeavor. And, the lake house would be that much closer. Of course, some more advanced ratings would be a good idea for me if this works out.
