I have one of those voices that everyone with slightly impaired hearing struggles to hear - drives me nuts because a lot of the guys I shoot with are getting on a bit! I have to repeat myself constantly!

I plan on investing in the hearing aid industry.

Maybe now we should start a thread on the correlation of getting speeding tickets with the music you were playing and volume level at the time you were stopped.

This topic is so true.

On my way home from work one day in the 300M, I noticed the front pass speaker crackling. It just so happened I was blasting Rammstein on the way to and the way back. I think it was either Reise, Reise or Benzin that did it...

Ahh Benzin, many a speaker has been killed by that song.

I have phoenix gold with a sub, and a hp/lp filter. The phonex gold xenon sub is absloutely amazing. It will take everything that my 1100 watt sony amp can throw at it, and say, "Is that all you've got?? Give me more, bit**!!" My one front speaker seemed to have a crackle, but I later found out it was the cracked dash cover vibrating, and the speaker cover is missing a screw. I"ll have to replace that soon. My 2 cents. Phonex gold is the way to go.

As a side note, there once in a while apears a phonex gold xenon or titanium sub on e-bay. Anyone have any experience with the titanium?? I hear it's recomended to have a 1-1 1/4 inch plywood or mdf box to hold it.
