It's called a tire spoon. They are usually used in pairs to mount and dismount tires. They are also useless and a third thumb when it comes to changing car tires. Without a tire machine you would need six good men and a small boy to wrestle a modern tire off a rim.

i used them to take the front tire off my 72 bmw to patch a hole in it. the first time i put it back on and tried to pump it up it leaked like a sieve. so i took it back off and found 12 pinch holes in the tube. so i patched them all and put it back on. she leaked again!

so i took it off a third time and found six holes!

patched them and third time i got it on without any pinches.

i think i had to make three trips out to buy additional patching kits.


shooooooooooot a tubless should be a piece of cake, kip!
