I'll be loyal to Benz, if they are loyal to their customer. Since they know nothing about defective wiring harnesses, I know nothing about Benz loyalty.
If I buy another Benz, it will be because of a combination of coincidence and familiarity with the model (and its possible quirks, whose costs are fairly well known in advance) - it won't be because I think they deserve my business.

I bought a brand new Jetta last year. While I do prefer driving the Benz, I don't mind getting driven in the Jetta one bit.

Car brand loyalty? No way. It's too large a purchase -- whatever grabs me at the moment... car buying is almost pure emotion, drives my wife crazy.

Shoes? New Balance for running (US made 991's). ECCO's for casual. I have flat feet and a bad L knee, so shoes really do matter.

I like Littman stethoscopes and they're made by locally owned 3M.

Other than that, whatever is a good value (price balanced with quality).

Yes. I've never really known anything else. It is amazing that I actually grew up to appreciate and yearn for what I was always forced to ride around in during my childhood.

Since I was just a little kid all I cared for was a Mercedes-Benz (As a six-year old kid in 1989, I dreamed about owning a 560SEC) at least as nice as the '84 300D my father used to drive. Although I have no SEC, I currently have three W126 cars. These cars still have that value built into them that made them special for their time.

My only problem with the W126 body-style is that it doesn't look "Classical". It looks a bit too modern, even today with its curvaceous and sleek streamlined body panels. I just can never look at one and call it "old" (Especially the 2nd Gen) although the orange front blinkers and strangely shaped US headlamp assemblies help to add some years (Euros fix that). That's either a good thing, or a bad thing however you look at it.

I go to the NY Auto show every year, and look at just about every make. I have no burning desire to buy anything other then Mercedes after looking at everything. Well I will probably give Jag and maybe BMW a try at some point.

The thing with Mercedes is I am very comfortable with them, I really don't feel like learning another car. They all have problems, unless you buy it new with a warranty your going to have to fix it. The only difference is I know what problems Mercedes have, I know where to get parts, and I know where to learn how to fix them.


I am very loyal to Orvis for fly rods, for some reason I really like their stuff.

Thats about it.

Oh Zegna I really, like their shirts and suits.

I used to be loyal, only to G.M. I switched in about '97 to Ford trucks, as far as light, and medium duties are concerned. I used to despise Ford before that. Now, I hate the G.M., and Dodge trucks, and only go with Ford.
As far as sporty American cars, well..G.M. eliminated the F-Bodies, and lost the remainder of the loyalty I had towards them, and you couldn't GIVE me a G.T.O. or a 'Vette, or Viper for free..so as a result of that, I prefer the Mustangs.
For the [I]old[I] muscle cars, I prefer the Chevy's and still have my old Novas.
Full size cars, I love the Olds Wagons, of the eighties, and any Crown Vic. No particular loyalty there I guess. Simply which ever one sparks my interest.
Far as real cars are concerned, I won't have less than a Mercedes, and am very rapidly finding myself shoving off, all of my other brands in favor of them. They just don't make a full sized pick-up, Muscle car, or Wagon as good as the ones I mentioned here, so I won't be getting rid of my 83 Olds Custom Cruiser Wagon (Diesel), or my three Novas. The F-150 is for sale though, and so is the 88 Chevy Wrecker.
I'm loyal, to certain models, and makes, but I am verypicky about them. I have had two other "Italian Junks", (Lambo's) aside from the current one. If it weren't for the looks, and performance, of these cars though, it wouldn't matter to me Ferrari, Lambo, whatever, all junk. The car is fast, and fun, but needs constant care, and attention, even, or especially if, they aren't driven often enough. My Lambo's over the years have cost me a lot of extra money, aggravation, and down time. I just wish they were as reliable as a Ferarri, and engineered a little better. They are cheap enough, to acquire though, and where else can you get 196 MPH for a $150k, or less, and look that cool doing it..? Since the Countach, is so datedThey can be had, for as low as $70k used, if you shop around, and can live with a little higher mileage example, or maybe a fixed-up one from a wreck or whatever. I always search for the better examples, with less miles, and better history. My current 89, has 2300 miles on it, and I paid $130k for it, out of Lamborghini, Ohio, two years ago. I'm still loyal, to the brand, and I think that no matter what ever happens, I'll aways have one in my stable, problems or not. So, there's more brand loyalty, I guess.

Only brand I'm loyal to is Soft Sheen Carson Sportin' Waves hair pomade. I tried the pantene, and the real fancy 10-18 dollar a whack American Crew? or some nonsense, and royal crown GREASE, haven't gotten any black and white, i'll try it, but I always seem to come right back to the good ole' 2 for $1.98 cans of the "ethnic" stuff.

I can't think of a single brand that I'm solely loyal to. If I like it, I don't care who made it. Cars, trucks, boats, fuel, skivvies, deodorant, pizza, basketballs, etc. etc.

On second thought, Red Wing work boots and L.L. Bean shirts. My clothes tend to take a beating at work and those two brands hold up extremely well and I do buy from them regularly.
