I can't stand Hannibal any longer. Day trip to St. Louis today!

Skip the arch. Forest park is worth seeing. I haven't been on the brewery tour, but I hear that's pretty good too.

Haven't lived there since '88. Visited a few times thereafter.

Nice light rail system. Science museum is pretty cool. Visit the arch anyway, if not for the sake of saying you did. It's by Laclede's Landing, and there is a lot to do there.

I grew up in StL but moved out East 20 yrs ago. I sure don't miss the summers there. Or the winters come to think about it. But Fall is nice, if only for its relief from summer. Same thing with the Spring/winter relationship.

I loved the zoo, the baseball, all those corner bars in South StL, German bratwurst, and midwest folk. And the brewery tour really was great, it was an amazing place.

I actually kind of liked Hannibal. I was in the Army band out of Ft Leonard Wood in the 70's, we used to play a summer concert in the town square every year, it might have been the July 4th thing but can't be sure. I remember a quaint place, lots of beer, pretty girls, and nice people, but of course I didn't live there--- I could get back on the bus at the end of the day and not return for a year.
