So, Raymr, did you get that tree handled today? I cut up four good-sized pine trees and burned most of them. Three were already on the ground. I'm pooped. I'm buying a condo as soon as my last kid leaves for college. I'm too old for lumber-jackin'.

I hear ya, D. My youngest is in HS and I've told them all that when she's out of college Mrs B & I are buying a houseboat and living in the Atchafalaya swamp. No cell towers. No roads. B'bye, y'all!

Yup. 3 men with chain saws and 2 teens to drag stuff away. We were done in about 4 1/2 hours including pizza break. And the Heinekens sure tasted good, after we were done of course.

Hey if I did this every day, I would lose 20 pounds in a week!

I bought 1 neighbor a new chain, and I bought pizza and beer. They can take all the wood they want, and I worked out a generous hourly rate for the boys. All in all, a good day.
