years ago it was alright but now adays to supposedly level the field they go to one car body .it will probably get to the point where everybody has to use the same engine.when that happens i think they are doomed.i don't mind watching the short tracks like bristol,martinsville,and the road courses.but daytona and talladega are just rolling parking lots.years ago petty use to win by 2-3 laps,now if somebody even gets close to lapping the whole field they throw a caution,then the first guy a lap down gets it back.i believe that if you look at their rating over the last 5-6 years or so that they are going down.they need to scrap about 95% of the rules.

Well, now Tony Stewart is saying he was wrong. After being "calibrated" by NASCAR President, Mike Helton, Tony is now saying the races are being called fairly.

I guess I was totally off base on this too ;)

How can something be "fixed" if all 43 of 'em have such a complicated system they have to keep track of 'til the end of the race...

just saw the finish.. a wreck before the leaders went over the line... gordon won.. and when gordon popped his window thing down other drivers did as well and tossed their water bottles out onto the track.. tony stewart is pissed as well

i didn't see any water bottles on the track but lots of beer cans,some looked pretty full by all the beer spilling out of em,that is a travesty,throwing a perfectly good beer.oh wait they were most likely jr fans .some throwing budweiser some throwing buttwiper.

My mom told me after the 6th caution all the drivers were fed up and got in single file, no passing, no aggressive driving and just went around the track for a while... usually they attempt to pass.. nope.. single file

it was because MOST of em didn't stop at the previous caution for fuel,they were trying to conserve fuel.as most of em would have come up a couple laps short.

I can't take it anymore!!! Sorry Bill by this is a hijack!

WOW, I'll take any of those three, over Nascar any day of the week..

Autos are interesting. I can read this forum for hours just to see what others are doing with their cars. But NASCAR misses the mark. NASCAR isn't about cars. It's a business of personalities of cute young guys selling themselves to the highest bidder. Very boring with the 40 year old technology and more and more rules - to make it "fair" for everyone.
