MS Computer question, Favorites list transfer
Can I some how copy my favorites (web sites) list to another computer or save it to a USB drive and then copy it to another computer?
Thanks, Mike |
The favorites used to be kept in a folder, and the individual files could be moved to where you wanted them (ie to a floppy, from there to another machine; or transferred to another machine via a network connection)
Haven't tried that yet with XP |

Easy stuffs. Go to the C: drive, locate documents and settings, locate the user name/profile that your using, then locate the favorites folder. Copy to flash drive, then copy to the new puter....
You running vista on the new box? |
Microsoft also has a transfer wizard, I think it is included with XP.
I can locate it if you need it. |
I emailed it to my Gmail account. That way if my computer ever blows up its saved forever!:D

Simple
File Import - Export Export favorites Select the top level folder (favorites) Save as ... copy to USB drive, or whatever Import on the other computer. This is also good for general backup purposes. |
