I want a VW Phaeton.
I saw one of these in person today, and I must say I was quite impressed with it. The build quality was amazing, and the attention to detail was very impressive as well. I would put this car up there next to the S-Class.
Anyone else see one, or want one?

It's a very nice car with very exacting details but it's going to be missed in the history books due to the branding blunder.

I've only seen one drive by. Very nice looking car. Don't know anything about them though. Except you can get a 6L 12cyl. in it. It's got to be fun to drive.

they can no longer be bought new in the states as it turns out americans just don't like to shell out 60,000 dollars for a vw,they are a sweet looking ride though and i'd probably buy one if they were half the price, but then again only the europeans get the tdi version so i won't be ownin one.

It's a very attractive car. There was another thread that described the modern production facility and the glass tower where the finished cars are stored. But $60K is a little steep for a "peoples car" with a big VW logo stuck on the front. It could have done better as an Audi A7.

That's who I meant, his handle escaped me.

I remember his handle because I met him, and Suginami (Paul) at Enrique's shop on the day that we have Enrique his plaque (also met Alon). For the longest time I kept confusing Paul and Dave.

Those Phaetons are beautiful, beautiful cars, but are orphans here. It's unfortunate they were discontinued in the USA, where the VW techs haven't been trained to work on them.

It does look like a very nice car. Found this shot - love the wheel. Kind of has an old school vibe to it, yet is also modern.
