Nice ride!!! Seeing the two side by side, it's easy to see why you went for new. They have really evolved with the time, and you can see how much.

Got to love the soccer decal on the tailgate. How many minutes after you bought the new wagen did you put it on?

It looks great, a fun way to show where your sympathies lie!!

Very niiiiiiiiiice.

My neighbor just got a new '07 ML350, and he loves it.

He is a technician at the local Mercedes dealer (Penske Mercedes), and he swears by the new / current ML class cars.

He described the old 163 chassis cars as being more of a Chrylser than a Mercedes. When he took them apart and saw how they were built, they looked nothing like any other Mercedes.

The newer 164 chassis cars have proven to be extremely reliable, he tells me.

They are also a unitized chassis, instead of a body on frame, so they really aren't much of a "truck" anymore.

That I knew...and you can tell when you drive it as well.

But since the only rugged outdoor activities I engage in involves watching twenty-two pairs of cleats aerate a manicured field for an hour or so, I guess I can live with that aspect of the chassis.
