Sears makes good ones...

Fluke !!
Depending on just how serious you are (Need for multi functions.). How frequently you’ll use it (Let‘s say “a lot“.). How accurate you need it to be (Very). How long you need it to last (Damn near forever.). And how much you’re willing to spend (They aren‘t cheap).....
I highly recommend looking into Fluke.

Fluke or Protek.
Protek is the best value IMO. |

I'm a Fluke dealer so I reccomend fluke. Sperry makes a good tool and they are cheap too.

Fluke all the way! Look on ebay, they are way cheaper there. I bought a 87 III for $110.00 and a 123 Scopemeter for $220.00
Both look and work perfectly. Here's a possible good deal, check it out.

Fluke, Sanwa or Mitutoyo and if you have money, B&K, otherwise Radio Shack is good enough and also Sears.
I have Sanwa and rate them very good http://www.sanwa-meter.co.jp/overseas/product/dmm/dmm_list.html

Harbor Freight frequently has them on sale for $3 or $4 dollars. Cheap enough to keep one in every toolbox.

I'm using an Extech, it's Chinese but it's a little better than the beater models are. (IMHO)
