I'd ebay it. The nice thing about ebay is IMHO the dreamers and tire kickers don't bother you as much.

I was going to sell my SD locally but didn't want to deal with the tire kickers.

Yeah, Auto Trader is such a waste. You can run your ad for weeks, and maybe get a few phone calls, but no lookers. You might get 2 - 3 guys who make an appointment to come look at the car, but then don't show up.

You'll also get guys who call up and offer you 50% of your asking price.

Forget Ebay
Just sold the car parking it out front of my house with a sign on it. I live right across the street from a grocery store parking lot. Lot's of exposure! AND I got what I wanted for it, $2k.
Bad thing is, the family that bought it only live a few blocks away, so I'll have to see it all over town I'd rather it just went away, so I didn't have to have second thoughts about selling it.

You know, this is exactly how I sold all of my used cars.

After failing to sell the cars via Auto Trader, I put a 4 sale sign on them in front of the local K-Mart, and they all sold from people who saw the sign.

I had it out front a few weeks ago, for a week or so, with no bites. I just figured these old Benz's aren't that popular in N. Utah. Everybody around here wants Audi's(go figure) for their AWD in winter, I guess. Up in Seattle area it would've sold in a heartbeat. But thought I'd try one more time before listing on Ebay.
