GM has enough problems, the real joke is having it repaired in Italy...I told George to take the 60' Deville with the Long Horns on the hood, honestly they never listen to me...

If only they would be like the rest of the world and drive the president around in an LWB S-Class all would be fine..

I wonder if the Secret Service would consider a Toyota Avalon limo?

Considering how much we spent on those limo's someones head better role. I don't even want to know what those things cost the US taxpayers.

Don't you know... representative of the people, by the people? Don't we all drive in limos? Eat at $1000 a plate fund-raisers? And travel for free?

Don't you?

I don't mind the expense, of the limo's. We need to keep the President safe, and what he rides around in reflects on this country. I'm just saying that considering they probably cost a few mill each, breaking down like that is not acceptable.

I don't mind the Prez riding around in an armored car either, but wouldn't it be more cost effective to keep some in Europe, rather than shipping the two he has on hand across the Atlantic? There are plenty of military bases to keep them at, so safe storage shouldn't be an issue.
Then again, just like that big ole caddy, we're not exactly known for efficiency, are we?

Its probably cheaper and safer to ship them, its not like they don't have plenty of transport plans to move them. If they were left at a base they would have to be under guard 24/7, if not someone could plant a bomb.

Notice the Secret Service also had their Suburbans shipped over, they look out of place in Rome!

The security is amazing, anytime the President is in New Haven cops are everywhere! Last time they had one on every bridge over I95 starting in Bridgeport, and more cops along the side of the road then you could count. Also if you watch the video I bet all those Secret Service guys that put their hands in their pockets or in their jackets were not reaching for pens, probably MP5's... Remember the video of when Regan was shot? All of a sudden everyone had a sub machine gun.
