Here's how I feel out a candidate.

How do they feel about armed civilians?
How do they feel about freedom of speech?

If they do not think that law abiding gun owners "should be allowed" to own guns for personal protection then they do not get my vote..Why?

Think about it.

Any candidate that thinks you should not be self sufficient enough to protect yourself, family and community at large with your gun does not have your best interest in mind.

This tells me that that politician has a certain agenda that ,with you disarmed, you cannot defend yourself against criminals be they on the street or in the halls of congress.

This tells me that this candidate is for the movement of big gov telling the little man "You work for me now, I don't work for you!"

Then, if they say they are pro gun like John Skerry did, I go and look at how he voted on the issue in the past.
What I saw him say in his tv ad's and photo shoots were totally different from his voting record.
He was the biggest anti gun candidate in history, voting down almost every pro gun measure that came across his desk, but he ran arounfd the country lying his ass off to try to be a friend to the hunter and gain support from gun owners.
Man, I saw through that charade, and I hope you did too if you know anything about the sport.

The lib candidates are all the same.
They blow whichever way the media polls go and they lie through their freaking teeth.

I'm ticked off at many politicians across the board right now.
I'm ticked at Bush for supporting McCain's so called campaign finance reform bill.
What kind of crack was Bush smoking.
I'm also ticked at him for the amnesty project he was so adamant to pass.

When they don't have my best interest in mind, that means they are just trying to play politics for their own personal gain.

Like what the heck is Trent Lott trying to pull with his "Talk radio is running the country" crap?

So what does that say to us?
Does that say that libs and conservatives both want to stomp out the press?
Ban talk radio?

Whoa, scary stuff dudes.

The people are taking shots from both big parties.

That's why I do not support a party when they are so freaking screwed up.

And don't get me started on Obama....who the hell is this guy.
No voting record, comes out of nowhere, talks a big game, says he a democrat.
Too many secrets with this dude.
This dude scares the hell out of me, maybe even more than Hillary.
At least everyone knows she's a socialist from hell that wants big nazi type government to stomp the little man into the mud, and turn us all into the former soviet union.

I will tell you this, If every democrat was Like Zell Miller, I'd vote democrat in a heartbeat, but unfortunately his party went whacko.

I say bring back the type of asskickin guys that founded this country and kicked some British ass to free themselves from Tyranny, and they got my support all the way.
Cocked, locked and ready to rock!

I'm so tired of two faced politico's that have no backbone, and lie to the masses playing propoganda games for votes from the ignorant.

Those are the types that want to snuff out talk radio.

Sorry mo fo, not on my watch.

Or maybe because it just isn't necesary to have long drawn out amounts of drama to come to the same conclusion! I have never met a Centrist yet. There is no such thing as being completely in the middle! What an awful place to be!

But most folks are in the center.

Much as the rightists try to divide us all up and get us to fight with each other, it is still true.

I think what you really mean is that anybody who does not agree with you is in an awful place to be.

I am not confused, I just don't agree with you.

What divides people is the ability to think independently, its a good thing.

My favorite Patton quote

If everybody is thinking alike someone isn't thinking.

I like that one. Think Patton was a centrist?

He was a realist that is why he lost his job, he hated politicians and politics.

When people argue about the "divide" while they label people right, center, left they fail to realize that the act of labeling is being discordant themselves.
