Webb and Graham were going at each other pretty good on yesterday's Meet the Press. Webb got really hot when Lindsay tried to make the point that the troops in Iraq support the President's policies. Webb cited polling data saying that only 35% of military people in Iraq support the President. He said that Graham was putting political words in the mouths of the servicemen and women.
Webb ridiculed Graham's visits to Iraq as being "dog and pony shows." That accusation is strengthened by Graham's association with the nitwit from Indiana Rep. Pence who said that the visit that Graham, McCain, and Pence made to a Baghdad market reminded him of a farm market back home. Nonsensical statements like that really do create an image of a dog and pony show.
Which of these senators is closer to the mark for supporting the troops?
