Rice is the only starch that doesn't cause flatulence

I just read this, don't know if it is true. Maybe has something to do with invert sugar?

I am sure we have at least a couple people here who can turn rice into bad air.

Isn't flatulence from beans caused because the human digestive tract lacks enough of an enzyme necessary to properly break down the carbohydrate's complex sugars in the bean before it all moves to the lower colon?

Rice is the easiest of the staples to digest, in hot tropical climates, rice keeps the body cool, un-polished brown rice is the best source of nutrients as well. Of course as Twitchkitty points out, it also causes least amount of flatulence as compared to other grains. Sadly for centuries, rice eaters were made fun of, it was a foolish and uneducated perception that rice was less nutritious for the body, this attitude still prevails unfortunately in many places across the globe, wheat eaters predominantly look down on rice eaters.

I thought this thread was heading in this direction again. Alas, a lament for the old days.

I am not going to do anyone's research for them, but would refer to www.google.com for all the answers to all of life's questions.
