That's cool. I think something like that could be done that can recharge from friction created by movement.

I have no doubt this is part of the future warrior HUD system.

I bet you could make a system that recharges with each footstrike.

Long deployments were a handful.

A series of potentiometers or gyro's on the soldiers uniform could easily generate 20 watts an hour but the spike of 200W would be tricky.

We used to have contests to see who could hold onto the 20hz generator on the field telephones. Whenever I saw a guy stripping wire with his teeth I was quick to give the phone a crank or two.

You could use a propeller beanie cap connected to a smallish genset and run really fast.

Maybe he means something like harnessing the static charge that might build up with the right kind of material. (think of when you walk on your carpet with your socks, and touch something metal - zot!)
I thought about maybe flexible solar panels, but what if they have to hide in a cave - give them a little crank to plug in somewhere and tell them to give it a couple of turns every two hours?
