Must have both, you will kill a Dremel with most tasks fit for a Rotozip.

I've seen two types of dremel blades -- cutting wheels -- for cutting steel. One is unreinforced and quite brittle. The other is less brittle and has a fiberglass backing of some sort. Much prefer the latter. More expensive.

widgetsupply.com is the ticket.

Yeah. That would make much shorter work of it.

Fred:

I have the Roto-Zip, Dremel and two Black&Decker RTX (on sale (33% of retail) and it has the flexi-cable attachment)...

The B&Ds have held up fantastically...but I'm not sure if the units are still available...

Dremel, with a little ( ) patience and practice, will take care of pretty much anything you're trying to tackle...as long as you're not trying to polish the Brooklyn Bridge or engrave tombstones...

Roto-Zip is a teenagers' version of Man-Tools...light-weight for light-weight work...I wouldn't spend 12 hours a day straight with the unit though...

If you're going to being ripping off the heads of 2,000 carpet-tacks, go with the 4-1/2" mini-grider w/a cut-off wheel (either corded or electric), and depending on how often you're going to be doing that type of work...Ryobi for occassional, Milwaukee for professional...

( And this, from a guy who actually used a 2# sledge-hammer on a fly! )
