Yep, that reminds me of my most enduring nickname: Dick Lipps

It's sad, but I once knew a kid named Richard Head. I thought how could his parents be so unkind as to name a kid that? Of course, we all knew him affectionately as "Dick Head."

I worked for a company that used the first three letters of your last name and your first name intial to create an employee code - it was done by computer and had some rules for duplication. If your name was Jane Doe your code would be DOEJ - hence that became your nickname. But then there was this guy named Tom Cunningham-

My Great-Great Grandfather was named Peter Lipps and I wondered the same thing but I realized that this was in der Paterland and maybe it didn't have the same connotation in German. It can also be an issue when choosing a mate although it didn't bother my Mother (Rose) or my aunt (Lillie). True all.

cdplayer

So my first ever purchase on Ebay required me to set up a user name and pin. I thought the easiest way I could remember my user name was to make it the thing I was looking to buy...cdplayer.

But the guys at work call me sparkplug 'cause I tend to motivated the slackers a little.
