Who knows, the man could be for real. I won't try to argue that point.

If someone gave me a hand-held voting machine tomorrow and I started pushing the "republican" button as fast as I could from that point 'til next election day, I probably couldn't cast enough votes to secure a GOP victory.

I don't mean to sound cynical, but I wonder if the republicans have a snowball's chance in hell of retaining the presidency next go-round?

Yeah....the Oval Office baloney bop was mild compared to the last 4 years, but deceit is deceit.

How 'bout we make "english" mandatory for all schools kids in America?

Noticed his health care bill in passing and "guaranteed" education...kinder thru undergraduate level.

would speaking a second language be such a bad thing? i realize that people dont want to make spanish an official language and what not but english is not the only language in the world. but how could speaking two languages hurt?

Your point is well taken. Mine is simply this.

We need ONE language for commerce and commerce is what the U. S. is all about. If you want to speak a 2nd langauge at the dinner table with your family/friends - fine with me. But do not require others to learn another language that will not be used in their daily interactions outside the home.

English is not the only langauge, but it has been the only language used by the masses in this country for years. Requiring people to learn a 2nd language because another group is too lazy to get on board is ridiculous. I believe the Canadians have been plagued with this problem for years....dual computer databases...one in english; the other in french. Huh??

The Germans, Poles, Scandanavians and many other ethnic groups gave up their native tongue. So why after all of these years do we have to make spanish mandatory?

The demo candidate is pawing for hispanic votes. Intelligent, educated hispanics are not going to buy into this.
