I don't know what's scarier, losing a nuclear weapon or that it happens so often there's actually a term for it.

Well I don't know about you, but I'll sure sleep good tonight knowing that most of the arrows are in my part of the US! JFTC.

Broken Arrow? Hell, that's nothin'; these are ones that actually detonated!!!!

The numbers indicate the total shots at each site.

The only country to drop a nuke in the US - the US.

They wouldn't have went off if they were dropped. But the point is and the scary part is that they were un accounted for, for 3 1/2 hours. Thats a big deal, you just cannot have that happen. In this case I agree the Commander needed to be let go. You just cannot make mistakes like that.

Whoever put those things on the plane must have known what was going on. I'm sure there are dozens of people involved in the process.

big deal

So they're strapped to a b-52. Its not like they're lost by UPS somewhere near Springfield, Illinois. During the cold war nuclear armed b-52s were kept aloft 24 hours a day for years. This is probably a military stunt designed to scare the iranians and liberals.

Sloppy thinking, policies and procedures

To my way of thinking the frightening part of the situation is the sloppy thinking this screw up represents.

They need to fire the whole chain of command to set an example.

It's a good thing we're allowed to own guns in case the Air Force gets any ideas.
