For this one, I'd move a mountain to find out its history. It would be worth it to know. I'm sure Mercedes Benz would be reluctant to disclose it, as they always are, if a member of the NSDAP or other Nazi organization had ever owned it.

1938 puts it smack in that time frame.

I am always leery of sellers who state "everything use to work but who knows now" that is to much of a disclaimer for me. There are do doubt things wrong - heck just saying it will start probably doubles the price.
