Okay, lets take a look at this scenario. What if she was wearing this commercially made shirt and carrying a wad of play-doh.

The most she would received is a couple of friendly looks and that's about it. So, I guess the real problem here is naked electronics! processor porn... Well if that's the case, so be it. Make another stupid law then. If I was going to worry about anything I'd be more concerned about what's inside an ordinary briefcase or a backpack, not an attention getting device. People are so ignet!

Well, they have a stupid law. It's called "possession of a 'hoax device'". The question is whether the prosecutor can convince a jury that the woman possessed a "hoax device".

I'll bet that it won't be that difficult considering the general level of intelligence in this country.

Point taken, but look at what we are talking about here. This is a device that when switched on, flashes LED's in the pattern of a star. Unless a flashing green star somehow means "bomb" or "terrorist" in some kind of code,,, I don't get it. Now, if we were talking about a wad of something or tubes with a battery or maybe some sort of timing device attached then yes I would consider this a hoax device.

You're preaching to the choir.

There is NFW anybody with any shred of knowledge about explosives would consider this anything more than a T-shirt.

But, who's the jury of her "peers"?

It would be a simple task for the prosecutor to prove "hoax device" to a bunch of morons who are afraid of their own shadows.

In fact, a couple of people to which I posed the question would convict on the "hoax device" without much discussion............they don't know a bomb from a circuit board.

Talking *** "Is it a bomb? Only her hair-dresser knows for sure..." ***

A bomb can be seen, or it can't be seen.

How many homi-bombers get in and detonate?

Are they wearing blinking lights and such before they scream out for Allah to bless their @55?

Let's look at some other "bombs" that were exactly what they advertised they were...

How about the Nevada Gambling Casino Bomb (It's been featured on one of those A&E programs) where a gang of two or three people brought in a one-ton device that had over 30 switches on the upper half and was, supposedly, packed with a ton of explosives. The FBI and explosive experts tried to disarm the thing, but it took out the casino instead.

Each wacko has a way they want to make their point.

Some want to commit suicide by COP.

Some want to make a statement, then disappear in a bloody mist.

Some want to take out anyone within the blast-zone, besides themselves.

And I can GUARANTEE that each method is going to have its own style, design and signature...no two will be the same unless you have a freak like the Uni-bomber. Then, you'll be looking over your shoulder more than you'll realize with that particular set of circumstances running loose among the populace.

So...did little "Miss Fuzzball" have a card proclaiming "Performance Artist Extordinaire" or did she make it up as it was going down? Where is the NEA and why haven't they weighed in by defending her? Hey! First Admendment and all...

Get real...she's lucky some "good Samaritan" packing heat and being a card-carring "Carry & Conceal" didn't turn her into worm-food before she got to the airport, let alone the Airport staff and support personnel doing it themselves.

Listen...if the BHL (bleeding-heart liberals) want to scream that everyone is too uptight and trigger-happy, let's stick them on a plane and send THEM over to Iraq to talk a little sense into Bin Laden and that whole hap-hap-happy group of sheet-heads...

If we can't get our own kids to act civil in public, what good do you think we'll do over there?

At least, over there, we can shoot the bastards if they blink...here, we have to kiss their @55 and let them know that the "big bad police-man and government agents" won't kick them in their brains 'cause they're too stupid for their own good.

Next time, give the jerks a lead-enema...OH! WAIT! There's a place you could pack a few pounds (pardon the pun) of C4, then run two wires, taped from the "tunnel(s)" up to the blinking lights!

Or, didn't ANYONE think that you could pack C4 into those areas?

"Film at 11!"

Exactly my thought. I couldn't get in. Had the test scores but not the GPA.

I have to blow the dust off this one again. Anyone know what happened to this girl? I couldn't find anything on the net.

I'd rather they have no free thinking than to have it. At least it keeps things consistent instead of everything being a definite maybe. You want to travel and not know whether they will or will not let you thru because they exercised their free thinking? Today you can bring 1 gallon of shampoo because you got Joe. Tomorrow, you get Sam that allows only 1/2 gallon. I'd take consistency any day.

Free thinking does not imply the right to modify specific rules at their whim. It simply means that spending excessive time on an obvious non threatening person doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

If you believe that they can't think for themselves, then the current system is perfect for you.

If you are willing to take the chance, sure.

I don't believe many people can think for themselves. Aren't you the one going around saying "people are stupid" or words to that effect? Would you trust these people to think for themselves knowing that most cannot?

Well, it's a bit of a quandry, I admit.

Naturally, I'd prefer that they use some intelligence and spend their precious time on the potential threats and move quickly past the people that couldn't do any damage to anyone.

But, I suppose that's a pipe dream.

For reference, the statement is "The average person is a moron"
