What'd they do with that '57 Plymouth?

Can't find an update on what ever happened to that '57 Plymouth they pulled out of the crypt back in June. Any links?

As of a few days ago, it is still in town.

Ownership issues are still being worked out, and the car might be sent to NJ from Tulsa for de rust treatments.

This link evidently follows the progress of the car, and gets regularly updated

I thought Boyd "I'm A Showboating Dumbass" Coddington bought it and was going to restore it.

I can't imagine who would want it, having seen what it looked like.

Thanks

I like this from the latest article "The Belvedere does not have a title and its serial number is unreadable".
No title? Can't read the serial number? What, they go to all the trouble of burying this thing, and don't stash away any records?

What a heap and what's the big deal. Tulsa must not have a lot to talk about.

No big deal. Just a crazy story all around. And I've always been a nut for cars from the 50's.

OMG - You've brought it all to a stop here !!

He was a client of ours after the show took.
DJ and Shelby did most of his trips.
They read your post a few minutes ago, and have just now down graded from ROFLAO to still giggling.
That ranks right there with: “Mr. I stayed at a Holliday Inn Express last night”.

Great stuff. Thanks for the laughs.

BTW – You could not have called it (him) better.

I love old cars too, more so than the new stuff, but I was amazed what a big deal they made out of it.

I used to live in Tulsa. I don't recall there being much to do there for a town its size.

It would have been "a bigger deal" if the car wasn't recovered as a rust bucket. A neat idea that didn't turn out so good.

What a shame the vault was so poorly designed as not to take water drainage into consideration.

Had a scout leader in my early teens that had one of those. Was a real boat!
