Bye, bye, and thanks for the great mortgage.

I used to have a couple of accounts at netbank. They were ok to begin with but as time went by I started noticing a lot of little fees. $1 here and $5 there, it wasn't much but there were plenty of other places (ING) that didn't do that. I closed both accounts a few months back.

the beginning of the end for a lot of banks and investment houses.

the next one to fail (ummm...'taken over') will be Etrade.

I keep meaning to open up some accounts with ING. They seem pretty good.

I've been pleased for the last 4 or 5 years. Mainly because I get a real person to talk to when I want to talk to them. BTW, back when ARMs made sense they had really low priced products.

The additional perk is that they say they'll give you a free cup of coffee if you go visit their coffee shops set up in LA and maybe Minnasota???. I've passed by the LA office a few times, never stopped for coffee - didn't want to lose my place in line, er, on the freeway...

I believe ING aquired Netbank.

It's only a matter of time with their attractive dividends.
Sub prime lending doesn't seem to work out too well for finacial institutions.
