We got the eco paint on the 99 ML430. When I complained about the chips, the service writer just shrugged. He never defended the ML as a "real" MB.

MB USA sent out a rep from HQ to his house, and he got some free service's. They agreed that it was a problem, but their wasn't anything they could do.
