Public service anouncment from our friends at Google. This is one of my favorite parts of Gmail, only a couple spam's get into my inbox every month, they are pretty rare.

Its no safer from spam than any other server. It has good filters but I'd prefer one that'll block any sender that isn't in my address book. I have to have so many filters enabled that basically everything ends up in trash and then I sort out the ones that I move to the inbox. PITA!

I've had a gmail account as my primary email service since they started a couple of years ago. I can honestly say that I've never once gotten an unsolicited email. I do check the spam folder from time to time and I've never seen a wrongly sorted email in there either.

I've had it for a long time too but now all I mostly get is unsolicited
 like replica watches , bs pharmaceuticals and pen1s enlargements. Crap like that tries to get in my inbox with specific mis-spellings.The things gmail talks about in their link is total

Do you hit the report spam button when it gets through? I have had two Gmail accounts for over a year now and the spam filters are better than AOL's and Yahoo's by a large margin.

Yes I did. It didn't help. With all the filters I need now almost everything goes to trash.

I have a main inbox and a personal inbox (set to only allow my address book peeps in) on my Windows mail and it has yet to fail me.
