What's the matter SEC, your computer couldn't come up with even bigger font?

In all the hysterics and bold, over-sized font lettering, SEC forgets one little old fact....

LSU: 2 BCS bowl appearances and only two national titles (one of them dating allllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the way back).

USC: 5 BCS bowl appearances and 11 national titles (two of them within recent memory). This figure does not even take into consideration ALL the other bowls USC has appeared before the creation of the BCS.

Come back to me when LSU has made as many bowl apperances (BCS or otherwise) as USC, or come back to me when LSU has earned half as many national titles as USC. Then maybe you will have something to talk about.

Like I said, LSU is not bad for a bayou school. But LSU is no USC...it will never be.

Like I said, I can do this all day long.

You should have left well enough alone back at the beginning of this thread when I congratulated LSU and wished them well against OSU. But oh no, you had to start talking smack about your pitiful little conference. :freak:

It wasn't me who started the hatred. You were bashing the SEC and didn't have your facts straight. The SEC is a much better football conference than the PAC 10 year after year. There should be no doubt about that. The SEC also has a good number more national champs than the PAC 10.

Yeah, USC is a great school with a great past. There is no doubt about USC being great; in fact, USC is the only team in the PAC 10 who has really done anything on a consistent basis.

I have an opinion about those that get their panties in a wad over sports.

Is it that they never played them? My father and brother played Div I ACC football (43 years apart:D) and bets like a fiend and never get into smack talking like that. My MD father in law who never played the game, otoh, will argue the greatness of the SEC all day long.

John Doe 12-04-2007 09:31 AM

Oh yeah--LSU is playing for the National Championship this year. Win or lose, it will be fun being in attendance and pulling for a team I like that is playing for the National Championship.:)

No, you know my history with college sports. After living the life of sports entourage for 36 years I'm more inclined to kill something or play XBOX. :D

I used to hate OSU...until a few posts back.

Go Buckeyes!

BTW, I did play baseball in high school. Was a pretty good second baseman, until I had a revelation.....

I was too short and too slow to play in the majors.

That's the day I joined the speech and debate team and never looked back....:(

SEC, since you are so enamored with numbers, here are a few numbers for you to digest, along with your jambalaya, beignets and chicory coffee.

Sorry, but I don't see any indicia of dominance by the SEC.

BTW, go back to the beginning of this thread and see who began taking cheap shots at USC's schedule.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I began posting on this thread by congratulating LSU and wishing them luck against OSU.

But if you guys are going to talk smack about 'SC, then I have no choice but to set the record straight.

BTW (part 2). I like Nowlins. It is the city with the most "Latin" flavor in the U.S. I have fond memories of stuffing my face at Commander's Palace. I also have fond memories of drinking at O'Brien's and then trying to walk to Jackson Square for late night beignets.

I just don't like people talking garbage about USC.

super SEC 12-04-2007 07:56 PM

I see a reoccuring theme in your posts. The only team in the pac 10 with a history of football excellence is USC. However, the SEC has won 21 ntaional title and the Pac 10 has won 15. Take USC away from the PAC 10 and you have another Mountain West conference.
