Wow...Laser TV, hooked up to FiOS - that would be like sex for the eyes!

I wonder how much better they are than 1080HD TV's?

I still have a $200 24in Bestbuy special TV. I can't imagin spending $3k-$4k on a TV.

I cannot show my dad.... He has a 50 inch Pioneer Elite 1080P Plasma.....

That TV is cool... But still, its gotta had the hump on the back of the TV, so it will never replace my Plasma or LCD.

When you do make sure you spend more than $100 on the center speaker.

I was bitten my the Plasma bug when not long ago a 57ish set me back almost $10K, the TV is now dead and I have learned to let tech keep up and for now its LCD/DLP I have a sneaking suspicion that most plasmas are going to be in the pooper within 5 years, mine lasted 3. With tech like this evolving I am reminded of the betamax.

If you're referring to my center speaker, it's part of a Velodyne System. Velodyne center and sub with Celestion fronts and Vienna Acoustics for the rears. Just a little more than $100.

According to Yachting this is the best TV for your yacht if you lack the room to install a full size movie theatre.

I can attest to the quality of Power Pig's speakers. I'm fairly picky and they blew me away! I couldn"t believe what a deal he got on them. I'm taking him with me the next time I go shopping for anything electronic!

I've been waiting around until something like this comes out as a projection system. I want to put my home theater back together one day and this would really be the ticket.

The early-generation plasmas had the failure issues that have been solved with the later-generation offerings. A day care center my daughter used to attend had the early plasmas that they wound up sending out for repair after about 1 1/2 years of use. Never saw those sets return, though.

Today's sets are good for far longer periods of time. Even so, it's more palatable to replace a $1200 unit after 6 or 7 years than swapping out a $10,000 unit after 3...
