I've spent 200$ on the other 4 memebers of my family.. plus 20$ for my dog

I did front the money to get the Wii but I'm getting paid back tomorrow...

with us its not about the presents.. we get a few little things for each person and one big thing for the family.. Last year we all agreed on a new television for the living room.. I got a jack and jack stands

normally through the year if we want something we might get it depending on the current market situation(step dad is paid on commission and hourly basis) but I never ask for anything

Well.....Let's see....

There are four of us here.

That’s a total of 12 gifts, when each person buys one gift for each of the others.

As we limit the price of each gift to $3.75, that’s a total of $45.00 for the entire household.

The way prices are rising these days though, we may have to clear the 50 dollar mark next year.

And that’s gonna suck, as we may be forced to move at that time, and the house has a flat tire.

I won't have a damage estimate until after the holidays or the OH gives me a damage estimate so I can set reserves.

No blood family here. Buy gifts for the adopted parents which comes to less than $150 total. For the wife, I buy her nothing and she does the same. We buy things for each other during the course of the year so sometimes, something good for her comes up around X'mas and sometimes not and same for me.

I can do 1 birthday, 1 anniversary and 1 X'mas and say I have done my job but I usually spread it out throughout the year. When I see something she might like, I buy it for her. I don't wait till X'mas. So when X'mas comes along, it isn't like we will go out shopping specially for each other. Rather we do it all year round.

If you’re referring to the Piaseki project from a previous thread…
After numerous family discussions, the H-21 is out. (for now)

And …I’m not sure what’s in.

This is our first real Christmas without the business and all of its required travel.

It’s taken a while for it all to sink in. No more 40+ client a month flight rosters.
We’ve had several calls from the 14 or so employees who retired with us, stating how weird it all seems. (good. but weird)

So far, we’re thinking the greatest gift is simple relaxation together with the family.

For Christmas... nothing.
But due to the peer pressures exerted by society, we'll be spending less than a thousand... I hope.

Just figure out what my kids want and what I think the should have and find the perfect compromise between the two. I even give you a hint, but at the moment I still mostly clueless. I do love waiting to the last minute.

Your kids want you to donate a Lingenfelter 383 Short Block to a needy cause. My car. We figured it was too much pressure to find the perfect gift and all that so we stick to buying each other things throughout the year.
