Winter in SW Texas.......

From an Internet pal, Rick, in San Angelo, TX. Pix was taken two days ago. Enjoy your snow........these critters are always around down here.

That's a pile of rattlers. Nothing makes your heart beat like the sound of those little buggers.

How were they killed? I see no obvious mark.

How they were killed:

Cut 'n pasted this, that Rick from San Angelo, TX posted a few minutes ago.

An FYI: Rick is a law enforcement officer in SW Texas.

QUOTE from Rick:

"Some were shot with a .22 rifle, that is until we ran out of bullets and they just kept coming out. Those that got away did so while digging under the seats and toolbox of my truck for more...
Fortunately, it was pretty cool so they were sluggish and mostly docile. I had been burning pear with a pear burner, so I hatched an idea...
Dangerous things sometimes happen when I have ideas, but I took the burner off the shaft and found that LPG works really well in flash freezing one to death..."

Flash freezing! I had to laugh at that one. Wish I was there
