You also may want to try the Microsoft Notebook Mouse made by Logitech. I use mine eight to ten hours a day and change the battery around every six months. I turned a lot of people at work onto it and they love it.

Good stuff.

I tried a Logitech MX1000 laser wireless rechargeable mouse for a good 6 months. It was nice and comfortable but the batteries pissed me off, they'd need recharging every 3 or 4 days.

Now im back to corded Razer laser mouse.

I highly recommend the laser powered mice over the optical. I dunno if there are many people who even use the ball mice anymore. Cleaning those things out got so annoying.

We installed several at work and they seem to be holding up fairly well after a year's time.

I went wireless!:D I'm scared of all this new technoligy, but the cord on my mouse was always getting caught and pissing me off. So I went and bought a Logitech V450, cool little mouse, very sensitive.

The firm that built and services of our UNIX system also builds the PC's for us and the latest one in our office came with a wireless mouse and keyboard. They do work really well and the wireless feature is great. I though about swapping it for mine. However, as most of you have seen, oftentimes the wire is what helps me find the mouse on my desk. :o Plus I'm not sure what kind of "Line of Sight" requirements they may have as my desk can get quite mountainous.
