Bluetooth and Planes

Any dangers? I got Bluetooth in my Laptop, and a sweet pair of Bluetooth Headphones, and I plan on using them on a flight to Southern California.

Will it hurt any of the instruments, or will I be ok?

If you were allowed to use it, you would be ok. All US airlines ban the use of all transmitting equipment while in the air.

I've hacked around a bit with it. I just picked up a Asus eee and have been having fun hacking the hell out of it lately.

Most of the new "music phones" have a setting for "airplane" use.
It disables the phone and email components and lets you use music, camera and games. I've used mine on that setting with no issues.

Mythbusters tried the cell phone in an airplane thing. It affected unshielded equipment, but when they moved into a real plane, 100s of phones at the same time didn't cause any ill-effects.

I'd just shut it off, drink and try to strike up an interesting conversation with someone around me. If that fails read.
