i am so sorry for your loss. i lost my dalmation 3 months ago to a tumor in the bladder. just like your situation, they said he would be able to go home for one last night. when i got off work and went to get him he was doing much worse. i made the decision then.

i am very very sorry.

Few things in life are as sad as the loss of a loved one. It doesn't really matter if their human or animal. The pain is the same and it will take a long time to fade, if ever. All one can do is remember and be thankful for the time spent together. Sorry for your loss.

I just watched a movie on Encore West called Eight Below. It was about a Sled dog team that got left behind in Antarctica due to an emergency evacuation, and how they survived for 6 months in the frozen wilderness. Very sad at times, but with a happy ending. I highly recommend watching it. On again tomorrow, Thursday @ 7:05 eastern time.

It NEVER fades. I always regret that I was never there to apologize to Honey for any wrongs I have done to her and to say goodbye to her. I did manage to do that for Molly and Vette so I suppose, that is something I am thankful for.

Relatively happy ending, mind you. Not everybody survived.

Those were the really sad parts. The dogs in the movie deserve Academy awards for best acting.
