Interesting stats!
What do you do with oddball resolutions like 1600x1024?
Are there any states that are more active per capita than others?

Any lesser heard of countries (like Timbuktu)?

Hmmm kinda weird that stuff like that draws my curiosity.

I still have one computer limping along on Windows 95. I'll never buy another machine that has to run on Microsoft. I dumped my Microsoft stock this year and I'm tired of cryptic error messages and meaningless dialogue boxes.

If Macs are anything like I Pods, I will be buying a Mac next time and adding to Apple's market share!

Whoever has Windows older than XP and that 600x800 screen needs to join the 21st century!

Sure! Here's some weird stuff
- 1600x1024 was the resolution for 0.17% of our visits (380)
- We got 23 visits last month from the country of Djibouti
- 1.45% of our visitors do not have Java enabled browsers
- 36.86% of our visitors spend 10 or more minutes on the site per visit
- The average visit is 8:19 minutes
- 53.63% are returning visitors who have been on the site before
- 25.4% of our visitors have the site bookmarked in their browser
- 1.84% of our visitors come from benzworld.org

It blows my mind that all of that data is available to the operators of websites. All I ever see is the user interface. I've never seen things from the other side of the internet.

This reminds me of when I used to work with scizophrenics. They were always sure that people could see THEM through their TV's. Noe I'M getting paranoid!

Nah. Website operators just know some stats. What's really scary is what Google REALLY knows. They have a record of everything you have ever searched for and a record of your web activity. With that information you can build a pretty complete profile of a person. I think Google has more private information about people than the CIA, NSA and FBI combined!

Ah yes, Google, the next Microsoft. . . .

That IS scary! My point was merely that people like me seldom realize how much our internet usage really reveals about us.

I agree, my next computer will either be a Mac or some sort of Linux box. I'm using a linux Red Hat Enterprise system at work. I love it, extremely fast and the damn thing never crashes. It uses Firefox web browser and Open Office, completely Microsoft free, which is probably why it never crashes

I've heard this about Linux, but I'm not at all technically-oriented, and Linux sounds like it is favored more by the technically-minded. Macs are also built around Unix, I believe. The difference is that they are oriented more towards artists. That's the world I'm most comfortable with.

Well...actually, I'm in a town called Nokomis. And I'm pretty sure I spend more than 6:15 minutes a day here - but, I shall make a renewed effort to raise the avg time above 8!
