I was actually thinking about buying some or making something to cover them since my recent repairs are griming them up.

I already have the OE MB datex covers, but I may be interested in MercedesShop mats to support the cause.

I'm in dire need. Just yesterday, I was washing Arlene and attempted to get the grime off the drivers fender in vain. I wasn't happy about either. Impeccable timing theDon.

Count me in.

Talk amongst yourselves.

the one from griots garage is nice. But overpriced like everything they sell. Plus it would get very dirty from the diesel fuel and oil. Remember diesel oil stains everything. I want something that is cleanable, durable, and does the job. I don't need pockets, I have tool cart for that(I want a hazet one).

Chad gave me a link to a company that sells neoprene sheets in bulk. If I can find a local place that can cut them to size and then silk screen we might have something going on.

but I still want vinyl with a velour backing

I think maybe The Don has a potential career as a specialty merchandiser!

I'd like to get in on this since I missed out on the grill badges.

heh

It appears the neoprene ones can be embroidered guys. Just no large logo's since that would be big $$

I did find a forum, a toyota supra forum, that had some vinyl mats made up. I'm trying to join up so I can contact the member that did it. But, I'll look more into the neoprene versions as well. I will stop by the embroidery shop that is located in the same building as my store and see what they can do and such.

Dee8go, I was thinking about changing my major to like business, specifically, marketing or something.. But I like money, and I'm good at this stuff apparently.

what kind dimensions are we looking at for these things? Wide enough for a W126 of course and long enough to cover most of the fender plus some over laping into the engine compartment.

Based on personal experience, with him, I agree.

You wouldn't be the first person who stumbled into a great career by doing something in your free time that you really liked. I used to think that business was not a very creative field. I was an art student. Boy, was I ever wrong. Successful businessmen are often VERY creative.

Although, I suspect that you'll do very well with whatever really captures your fancy.

Will they come in an array of colors, so we can color coordinate?
