Diesel has a new home

Shaq to the Suns - any thoughts? Frankly, I can't decide. I like the trade from the Heat's perspective.....unload his huge salary and get a young, athletic power forward to pair with Wade.....and obviously the Suns needed something to put them over the top....but still, the self-proclaimed "diesel" is pushing 300k, low compression and possibly a cracked #14 head. He might be running on something similar to MB reputation alone anymore.

Or am I the only NBA fan on here? C'mon....the National Footbal League is over and our nation needs to turn it's lonely eyes somewhere (and Joe Dimaggio doesn't want to watch the Clemens debacle unfold). So why not professional basketball?

The Pau Gasol trade was huge for the Lakers too.

And I apologize to my diesel brethren for baiting you on the subject line, at least I didn't put this in diesel discussion

Haha...yeah. I just checked - that thing is at $330 with a day left.

I just picked up a used Trek bike off craigslist today - so there went my parts car money. Of course, I'm about to file my taxes too....so maybe I'll try to sneak in at the last minute. Per your suggestion - I don't think I'd go over $400 on it.

I'll tell you what though - I like this listing too (as a seperate project). Not the CD that I've been longing for.....but this thing would be a steal for the current price.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mercedes-Benz-300-Series-300Dt-1983-Mercedes-Benz-300Dt-Turbo-Diesel-Sdn-Needs-Trans_W0QQitemZ170190529950QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item170190529950

It's not too far from us either - down in Chester County. I noticed he won't share the reserve price though....but with a non-functional tranny - he couldn't have set it too high.

Santana to the Mets is a pretty big deal though.

I guess I am the only NBA fan on here. Oh well, I can't blame you....love is blinding.

Why else would I be bidding on a junky parts car?

I hope this steriod thing gets cleaned up soon so we can "play ball." One of the Yankees pitchers got busted for throwing a rooster into a cock fit and it was filmed on YouTube (they took it off shortly thereafter). WTH do these guys think they have a cloak around them and no one will see them doing this stuff?

p.s. I am a Hoya....

That interior looks to be in really good condition. Even the plastic around the windows is uncracked. The steering wheel looks unworn too. If the engine is good I'd pay $800-$1000 and plan on $2000-$3000 to get it running. Silver with Java MB-Tex is nice.

It looks really clean - and it appears he had some semblance of responsible maintenance on it too.

Did you see all the parts that come with it?

The vehicle comes with many extra parts including two [2] New Door Checks for both Rear Doors (these need to be installed); New Rear Brake Pads and New Rear Rotors; New Front Brake Pads; New Water Pump; New Steering Stabilizer; New Camshaft Drive Chain; One [1] New Glow Plug; a Number of Used Vacuum Door Actuators [in Larger Box with Steering Stabilizer]; the Original Emergency Tool Kit and Many other Misc. Parts, too many to list here [see Pic’s].
This Vehicle also comes with two [2] Spare Rims mounted with Snows, depending on the winters where you live, the mounted snow’s may well get you through one [1] more winter. I would be using them here if the Vehicle was in operation this winter, but the choice is yours, Plus one [1] additional Fairly decent Reg. Tire mounted on good rim (may have a Slow leak, though I do not know this for a fact); these being separate from the Spare Tire still in the trunk. - all Mounted Tires pictured are included in this auction.

I'd be tempted if I didn't just put out $1,500 for a new burner and liners in my home heater. Plus who knows how much I'll end up spending before I get my wagon back on the road again.

My wife and I each got a "TREK Navigator 100" a few years ago. It's the best bike I've ever owned ... and the most comfortable. I need to get a trailer hitch to use my bike rack for the wagon.

Yeah, you're going to have a brand new wagon soon. Buy my aunt's woodland and you won't need the burner, you'd have all the "free" wood you could possibly need to heat your little yurt. You laugh - but I've actually looked into those before for my mother-in-law.

This is great, I've hijacked my own thread.

Mistress - if you are a Hoya.....you could be a Denver Nuggets fan then - and support good ol' Iverson. I think he's the reason many casual basketball fans turned against the NBA, actually. Having watched him in Philly though, I'll always respect him (on the court, that is).

IIRC it was the Mets' Pedro Martinez.

Go Huskies!

Woo hoo, Sam Cassell! At least that's still in rumor stage The dude's older than I am and he got a flagrant foul on Rondo last night that got him ejected. Strange timing.

Shaq plays best when pissed off and when he feels he needs to prove himself so it'll probably work out well for PHX.

Ironically, now that the Celtics are actually fun to watch I can't get them because they're on Comcast Sports NE and they and AT&T are in a pissing contest. Shockingly, their lapdog Specter isn't in as big a hurry to tackle this travesty as he is with doing away with the NFL's Anti-Trust exemption.

The only time I can watch them is when it's a national game or if they're playing the Knicks or Nets.

I knew I could count on you Swamp.....yeah, I've been hearing the Sam Cassell rumors. He ALWAYS switches teams and makes an immediate impact. His strange testicle dance is disturbing though....but he would be a nice addition to the C's.

Rajon had a huge night last night....and he's got a bright future....but I'd rather have the ol' Sam I Am bringing the ball up in crunch time.

Jordan, I found your CD. The only problems are the chrome arches and the price.

Not much I can add there.

He would certainly bring some wily veteran experience. It might take a little time for that mentoring part to kick in what with the face shot on Rondo. Rajon is exciting but man does he seem out of control a lot. Talk about youthful exuberance!
